About Us

My name is Nick and I’m a professional experienced dog walker, dog trainer, handler and pet owner.

My family and I have a 12 year old Working Cocker Spaniel who is still high energy, we sadly lost our English Springer at the beginning of the year who was nearly 14yrs of age. We also have a 6 year old Cavachon who belongs to my mother-in-law and he regularly joins us on walks and holidays.

The Kennel Club run a national training programme called The Good Citizen Dog Scheme covering general obedience. The scheme has a Puppy Foundation, Bronze, Silver and Gold award. The emphasis is placed on the handler’s ability to handle, control and care for their dog in a domestic environment, promoting socially acceptable dogs and creating responsible dog ownership. I have successfully passed the Bronze, Silver and Gold Good Citizen Dog Scheme Awards.

I have been a dog trainer at a Dog Training Club, the Club was registered with The Kennel Club, training dogs and owners to The Good Citizen Dog Scheme Bronze, Silver and Gold standard.

I hold a number of teaching qualifications including a Certificate in Education, Level 3 NVQ in Direct Training and Support and a Level 3 NVQ A1 Assessors qualification. Using these skills and my dog training experience I can support help owners, providing positive and developmental feedback on your dog(s) from their walks or training lessons, ensuring you receive maximum learning and benefit.

I have attended a Dog Law seminar on The Dangerous Dog Act and Responsible ownership delivered by Trevor Cooper, Solicitors BA (hons) in Law of Cooper and Co who specialises in this area and works closely with The Kennel Club.

Continuous professional development in life is very important and working with dogs is no different. I take my continuous professional development very seriously and still attend training lessons myself with other professional trainers, read canine related articles and carry out research where necessary.
